History

Deja-Vu was formed in November of 1996 to fill the need for good live music and performance in the Los Cabos area. Cervantino in Guanajuato, Mex.

They started at The Hard Rock Café, Cabo San Lucas, and quickly became one of the town's favorite bands.

Their variety of music, as well as their performance were unique in the area.

Soon they started getting contracts to play in different bars in Los Cabos such as: Cabo Wabo, Rio Grill, Tropicana, Rusty Putter, Tanga Tanga, as well as the Beach Restaurants.

Later, hotels started to show interest in the band for private events including: corporate events, award ceremonies, weddings, beach parties, and cocktail parties.

Now, the band works with most of the 5 star Resorts in the area: Fiesta Americana, Palmilla, Westin Regina, Hilton Los Cabos, Melia Cabo Real, Melia San Lucas, Sheraton, Marquis Los Cabos, Casa del Mar, and El Presidente Intercontinental, to name a few.

The band also works with both tour companies and wedding coordinators such as: Contact Incentives, Terramar, AMI, CTA, Tropical Incentives, Baja Weddings, Weddings in Paradise, I do Celebration, and Sunset Weddings. Winners at the Dos Equis Lager & EMI music event in La Paz, Baja.

Apart from working with important agencies and first-class hotels, Deja-vu has delved into expressing emotions and feelings about life with their original music.

They have travelled all around the Mexican Republic presenting their material and demonstrating that they are band with talent and a future.

In the summer of 2000, they won first place in the state of Baja California Sur (South) in an event sponsored by Dos Equis Lager and EMI Music, which led them to compete on a regional level in Mazatlan, Sinaloa with bands of a very high quality.

They have shared the stage with well-known American and Spanish-language bands including: Enanitos Verdes, Jumbo, Cafe Tacuba, Sammy Hagar of Van Halen, Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains, Third-Eye Blind, and John Enwistle of The Who among others.
